I am a children's illustration artist living in Beaverton, Oregon.  Over the years I have lived all along the western United States from Fairbanks, Alaska, in the north to Redondo Beach, California, in the south.

In my early years, I worked in a variety of media from graphite and colored pencils to pastels, oils and acrylics.  These days, the vast majority of my work is done digitally using Painter X, a bit of Photoshop and a Wacom drawing tablet.

I love creating characters with a gentle mix of human and animal characteristics.  And I really enjoy depicting the unlikely pairing of animal friends in my work, such as hedgehogs and alligators or lions and frogs.

I am currently working on writing and illustrating a children's book honoring the team of firefighters that rescued me after being hit by a car in 2002, Engine Company 13 of Sacramento.

A typical weekend for me is spending time with my husband Michael, painting, or enjoying the company of friends.  Coffee is my favorite vice.

Well... that and my Wacom and Painter X.
